London Stadium is a London Living Wage Employer and has made a commitment that all its direct employers, including interns and contractors, are paid the London Living Wage. This means that every member of staff in the organisation earns not just the minimum wage, but a living wage.


We were awarded the Good Work Standard to recognise our commitment to our people. It also reflects the many ways in which we are striving for the best possible working conditions for our employees.


We also signed the Time to Change Pledge, to show our public commitment to changing the way people think and act about mental health in the workplace.

Our Casual Roles

We have a variety of roles at London Stadium. As well as permanent and fixed term roles for our core team, we also have opportunities to join our event team on a casual basis.


We employ over 2,500 colleagues in a variety of roles on a full event day. We look for bright, sociable and enthusiastic individuals who enjoy the challenge and satisfaction of creating memorable occasions for our customers.


We are a Living Wage Employer so all of our roles pay at least the London Living Wage, with a minimum shift of six hours. We pay our casual workers fortnightly – so you will only have to wait a max of two weeks to be paid for shifts.


We have a wide range of events – from West Ham United football throughout August to May, Concerts and Major League Baseball in June, Athletics in July and other smaller events like food festivals! So there is a lot of variety, with different days and hours of work available, and you can pick and choose shifts on your availability, although if in training we’d ask you to commit to 80% of work.

About Our Teams

Our dynamic team of around 60 employees brings together a diverse range of skills and experience. We're structured to foster collaboration and innovation, allowing us to tackle complex challenges efficiently. This team is driven by a shared commitment to excellence and a passion for achieving our collective goals.

Executive Office Team

Our executive team is composed of dynamic leaders with diverse expertise, driving innovation, strategic vision, and excellence across all areas of our organisation. Each member brings a wealth of experience and a shared commitment to fostering growth, collaboration, and a positive impact on our stakeholders and community. The Executive Office Team includes our CEO, Chair, Board and our senior management team. They play a crucial role the running of the business. This includes:

  • Setting our strategy and corporate planning in line with our mission and vision
  • Reporting to Board on organisational growth opportunities
  • Overseeing risk management to assess and address potential risks to safeguard operations and reputation
  • Financial oversight to ensure the organisations sustainability
  • Leadership and people development to foster collaboration and ensure effective decision making
  • Commercial development of the company
  • Stakeholder engagement to drive trust and satisfaction

Operations Team

The Ops Team plays a crucial role in delivery of events, pitch maintenance, operation of the community track, and delivery of major projects. This includes:


  • Event day preparation and operations
  • Accreditation and administration for event days
  • Stadium capital projects and seat transitions
  • Sustainability strategy
  • Management of the facilities management contract and hands-on technical
  • Management of the venue
  • Maintenance of both of the pitches
  • The operations of the Community Track

Safety and Security Team

The Safety and Security Team plays a crucial role in planning of events and major projects, security of the venue, and staffing deployments. This includes:

  • Pre-event documentation and planning
  • Resourcing the crowd safety team for event days
  • Recruitment, training, onboarding and deployment of in-house stewards and other safety staff
  • Management of the in-house and agency crowd safety staff on events days
  • Management of safety and security at the venue on event days and for major projects and other activities
  • Oversight of the 24/7 security provision
  • Health and safety compliance for the venue

Commercial Team

The Commercial Team plays a crucial role in securing and managing commercial partnerships and sponsorships, marketing and communication and sourcing future events. This includes:


  • Booking and contract management of major events (e.g. music, sport, North Scoreboard Bar and Island events)
  • Contractual and commercial interface with event owners and promoters
  • Bids and proposals for future events
  • Ticket, premium and retail sales for London Stadium events
  • Sponsorship sales and commercial partnership management
  • Marketing and communications for the London Stadium, including customer service, corporate & reputational communications
  • Customer engagement via Tech platforms such as WiFi system
  • Other revenue streams such as filming and pitch hires
  • Management of key stakeholders such as UKA, West Ham, Delaware North etc.


Corporate Services Team

The Corporate Services team plays a crucial role in supporting the wider business functions to deliver our goals as an organisation. We do this by providing strong, robust governance and the infrastructure necessary to support the organisation's other teams, through provision of IT, accounting and finance, procurement and HR.

Our areas of responsibilities and expertise includes:

  • Financial control, including purchase to pay and banking
  • Financial reporting internally, to the parent companies and Boards
  • Preparation of statutory accounts and management of the audit process
  • London Stadium’s Corporate IT and IT infrastructure
  • Event day IT operations including WiFi, ticketing support and server infrastructure
  • Oversight of Stadium procurement projects and procurement compliance, as well as contract management
  • Human Resources, including recruitment and onboarding, as well as payroll, pension, benefits, organisation design, learning and development, and engagement

Hybrid Working

London Stadium have a hybrid working arrangement with employees working a minimum of 60% of their working week at the venue, depending on the role requirements.

Yes, a CV should demonstrate your skills and experience that are relevant for the position you are applying to. Ideally this should be no longer than two pages and you don't need to include personal details such as date of birth and photo, as these are entered on our secure application form.

If shortlisted, you will receive your interview confirmation which will give you further details. The role may consist of either a one or two stage interview process – our permanent roles are usually two stages.

Interviews may be face to face, via MS Teams video call or both. The details of this process or other options will be discussed at the invite stage.

Each role is unique so our hiring process can vary depending on the role. We keep you informed at every step of the way and our system is set up so that you can check your application status through your online account.



If you are shortlisted, you can expect to be invited to an initial interview. This will give us the opportunity to learn more about each other. At this stage, we will ask you some competency-based questions based on our values and behaviours followed by some technical questions.


This is a great opportunity to see if we are right for you as well.


If you are successful at your first interview, you may be invited back for a second interview — for this you may be asked to produce a piece of work or prepare a presentation, or you may just be asked a few more questions by different members of the team.

We recommend looking through our website to get a good grasp on the kind of work we do and how the position you’re interviewing for might fit in — this will help you to find out more about us, our work and our direction. It might also help you decide if we are the right organisation for you.


As for what to wear — we don't have a dress code as such however we all tend to wear typical business dress when in the office. This is your opportunity to make a first impression but make sure you wear what makes you feel comfortable and confident on the day. We won't be assessing your shirt or your shoes we will be looking at your skills, technical experience and values to determine if you are a good fit for our organisation.

As well as copies of your Right to Work documents and any relevant qualification certificates, all London Stadium employees, contractors and temporary workers must undergo a range of checks. This comprises of verification of the following:


- Identity check

- Nationality and immigration status (including Right to Work)

- Employment history check (covering the past 3 years)

- Criminal record check (unspent convictions only)
